Come Sea why we’re Hooked on the Bodega Bay Fisherman’s Festival

Since 1973, Bodega Bay has celebrated its unique history with the Bodega Bay Fisherman’s Festival. This exciting event of food, art, games, and more is entirely run by volunteers. All event proceeds go to community service projects in the Bodega Bay Area. Come support the community and celebrate this unique area’s fishing history.

This year’s festival will be May 4th and 5th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Westside Regional Park.

On Sunday is the grand Blessing of the Fishing Fleet. Watch as the colorfully decorated boats parade through the harbor to be blessed by a clergy member. The tradition pays homage to the “Discovery Days Celebration” from 50 years ago that celebrated the discovery of Bodega Bay.

From art and live music to food trucks and wine and beer tasting, there is something for everyone. The little ones will enjoy the kids’ zone, with face painting, games, a touch tank tide pool (like a petting zoo for marine animals), and more.

There is also the Wooden Boat Challenge, where teams of four have mere hours to construct a boat. Come cheer them on as they attempt to race through the course without sinking.

Admission

General admission is $12 ($14 at the gate) for one day or $22 ($25 at the gate) for both days. Seniors, military, police and fireman are $12 at the gate. Children under twelve are free. You can purchase tickets here.
