The Turkey Weekender – Nov 29th to Dec 1st

For weeks, all thoughts have been on the turkey dinner. But the leftovers being put away in the fridge can only indicate one thing… Santa is on his way! Here is a list of the first few tree lighting ceremonies happening around Sonoma County.

Winter Lights – Tree Lighting

  • When: Friday, Nov 29th| 4 PM to 7 PM
  • Where: Downtown Santa Rosa, Old Courthouse Square
  • Price: FREE and open to the public
  • Why: Holiday music, Santa, Snoopy, dance performances and of course the tree lighting. Do we need to say more?

Healdsburg Downtown Holiday Party

  • When: Friday, Nov 29th| 4 PM to 8 PM
  • Where: Downtown Healdsburg
  • Price: Free
  • Why: Want to travel back in time? How about checking out this quaint evening of festivities with Dickens style carolers singing in the square and Santa in the Gazebo.

Petaluma Tree Lighting Ceremony

  • When: Saturday, Nov 30th | 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
  • Where: Downtown Petaluma, Theater Square Plaza
  • Price: Free
  • Why: A piano player, a symphonic band, and of course Santa are all coming to help kick of the holiday season in Petaluma.

Geyserville Tree Lighting & Tractor Parade

  • When: Saturday, Nov 30th | 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Where: Downtown Geyserville
  • Price: Free
  • Why: Santa & Mrs Claus, carolers, and of course brightly lit tractors. What more could you ask for on a Saturday evening?

Healdsburg Farmers’ Market November Craft Market

  • When: Saturday, Nov 30th | 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Where: Healdsburg, West Plaza Parking Lot
  • Price: Free
  • Why: Start your Saturday with a cup of Jo while you stroll through a farmers’ market. Handmade crafts by local artisans, fresh produce and other food products.

A Very Electric Christmas

  • When: Sunday, Dec 1st | 3 PM
  • Where: Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, Person Theater
  • Price: $16-$21
  • Why: Follow Max, though his misadventure to the North Pole where he encounters toy solders, carolling worms and more. This family friendly story is set to holiday classics of Nat King Cole and others. Tickets are still available!
