Stop and Smell the Roses at Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival

On May 18th comes the 125th annual Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival, one of Sonoma County’s favorite events. It’s a fun day celebrating Santa Rosa’s rich history and supporting the community.

History

The parade started in 1894 as the Rose Carnival. In 1950, the event was renamed after famous horticulturalist Luther Burbank. Since then, it has been held annually on the third Saturday of May.

The Festival

The festival starts at 9:00 am, with the parade beginning at 10:00 am in downtown Santa Rosa. For 2019, the theme will focus on celebrating the history of the Rose Parade. The streets will be filled with colorful floats, school marching bands, non-profit and service organizations, and more.

After the parade, you can enjoy the festival with live music, food vendors, and fun activities downtown.

Info

The festival is from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm and the parade is from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The event is free to the public.
