Sonoma County’s 2021 Halloween: Grown Up Edition

Sonoma County may be known for beautiful vineyards and cute towns, but don’t overlook our festive spirit. When Halloween comes around, Sonoma represents with some of the spookiest haunted houses and some of the best parties around. Whether you are looking for a more mellow movie or concert Halloween or you are looking to to show your scariest costume, here are our recommendations.


Salsaween – A costume party with Salsa and Cumbia is one of the most perfect ways to spend Halloween. Hosted at Coyote Sonoma, grab an early dinner and spend the night happily dancing off those calories. Get your tickets here

Santa Rosa

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) – If you are looking for something less conventional to do in Halloween the Museum of Sonoma County hosts an annual Día de los Muertos exhibition featuring artwork and altars created by local artists, students, and collectors.

Halloweird – Looking for a great time on Halloween weekend? Halloweird will feature something for everyone with starting a variety show followed by live music. Throughout the rest of the night, yon can enjoy the photo booths, silent discos, art and more. Get your tickets here

Blind Scream Haunted House – Blind Scream Haunted House is over 20,000 sq. feet of the longest, most fearsome mazes anywhere…this heart thumping, blood pumping, walk through your darkest nightmares will have you screaming to get out. Get your tickets here

Under the Stars Halloween Bash – Love reggae music? Love Halloween? Get the best of both worlds at the Barlow where The Marshall House Project and Sol Horizon will perform at 7pm and 8:30pm respectively. Get your tickets here

Rohnert Park

Stand-up Comedy, Dinner, & Dancing! If being scared out of your skin is not your thing, then check out this night full of entertainment with proceeds going to a great cause. The night begins with cocktails and appetizers and is followed by dinner and a comedy show. Round out hallows eve with dancing and a costume contest. Get your tickets here

Frankenstein: Symphonic Wind Ensemble – The Sonoma State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble will bring to life, with music by composer Michael Shapiro, James Whale’s classic thriller Frankenstein! Get your tickets here
