There is a time and a pace for everyone, and the IRONKIDS Santa Rosa Run is paced for kids.
What is IRONKIDS?
IRONKIDS is based on the actual IRONMAN marathon which challenges people to see who is the fittest across the disciplines of swimming, biking, and running.
Designed for kids from 6 months to 13 years old, IRONKIDS offers two races (½ mile or 1 mile) where your child can challenge themself. There’s also a Toddler Trot and Diaper Dot Dash. Parents can participate (though a 6-month-old running an IRONMAN solo would be super impressive) but IRONKIDS encourages you to let your child run by themselves or with a friend. If you are too worried, volunteers will be doing sweeps throughout the run to make sure each kid finishes the race.
When and where is it?
IRONKIDS is on July 28, 2019, at 9 am. It starts at Old Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa.
How much?
The price of the marathon is $20. You can register online through this link or at the onsite registration (July 25 from 12 to 7 pm, July 26 from 9 am to 4 pm and July 27 from 10 am to 5 pm) where you can also pick up the information packet and race bib. Your child will receive a finisher shirt, race bib, and a medal at the end of their race.
