You May Not Like to Camp, But Everyone Loves to Glamp

Thankfully the days of sleeping on the ground in a flimsy and freezing tent are behind us. Leave that to the boy and girl scouts and say hello to the newest trend in outdoor getaways: Glamping. From airstreams to yurts to fancy tents, Sonoma County knows how to enjoy the outdoors while still being comfortable. Here are some of our favorite spots.

Autocamp Russian River

What’s cooler than spending a night in a luxury airstream? These modern and chic looking airstreams can come with full queen beds, spa inspired showers, and even a kitchen. Autocamp is located in the redwoods just a quick walk or bike ride to the Russian River. Cozy up at night on your personal fire pit and deck attached to the airstream.

Boon Hotel and Spa

Do you love to be pampered while you glamp? The Boon Hotel and Spa located in the Armstrong Redwoods offers multiple upscale and fully furnished tents to stay the weekend in. Walk on over to the main building to be treated by a masseuse or relax in the jacuzzi. These cozy yet fancy tents deliver a unique glamping experience unlike any other. Did we mention the breakfast is complimentary?

P.S. They also have “boonito” vintage campers that get to enjoy all the same luxuries as the rest of the hotel guests.

Bothe Napa State Park

Head a little inland and stay in a rustic yurt! The Yurts on the campground at the Bothe Napa State Park can fit up to 6 people. These quaint bungalows are located right next to many hiking and backpacking trails. Best of all, dogs are allowed, and ADA yurts are available!

Wildhaven Sonoma

Think luxury tents next to the river – Wildhaven’s glamping experience is filled with all the amenities of a boutique hotel in the best setting possible. You can choose from one or two queen bed tents, riverside, standard or premium. The tents are beautifully decorated, you get private access to the Russian River and they have a list of on-site activities that will leave you trying to decide what to pick!
