This year for Independence Day, we step a lot closer to normality. We’re not quite there yet as many events have been cancelled. But there are several bright spots in our clear night time air. We’ve included a list of day-time activities and two places to watch the Fourth of July fireworks.
Sonoma’s 4th of July Celebration, Sonoma
Sonoma’s 4th of July Celebration is held annually in the historic Plaza. As we’re dealing with a record setting drought, the event will be closely monitored by CalFire, State Fire Marshall and Sonoma Valley Fire District for safety.
Fourth of July Celebration, Petaluma
The center of the fireworks will be at Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds and Event Center. To avoid large crowds, the show has been designed to display higher in the sky to allow spectators to enjoy the show from their own neighborhoods.
4th of July Kids’ Parade and Duck Dash, Healdsburg
For kids young and old, the annual Kids’ Parade and Duck Dash will be held at the Healdsburg plaza from 10:30 to 1pm. There will be live music, activities and free lemonade, hotdogs and more! The parade begins at 11:30am.
No matter what events are running or not running, as long as we have our friends and family, this will be a great fourth of July! Be safe out there!
