Summertime in Sonoma County is one of our favorite times of year. The weather is warmer, the days are longer, and the farmers markets are in full swing. From fresh local produce to arts and crafts to live music, Sonoma County farmers markets have it all. While some operate year-round, we’re highlighting some of our favorite seasonal ones. Kick off the summertime by checking out these seven farmer’s markets.
The Bodega Bay Community Farmers Market is back for another amazing season. Held behind the Bodega Bay Community Center, there will be fresh produce, artisan products, arts and crafts, and live music. There is also space for dancing and a large field to run around and play. The farmers market is Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm from Memorial Day through October. Come hang out and support the community.
Start your summer festivities with the Cotati Community Farmers Market. From fresh produce to kids’ activities to live music, there’s something for everyone. The farmers market is held Wednesdays, June – September from 4:30-7:30 pm in La Plaza Park.
Healdsburg has two farmers markets – the Tuesday Farmers Markets held from April 20th to October 26th from 9am to 12:30pm at the Plaza Downtown and a Saturday Market from April 17th to December 18th from 8:30am to noon at the West Plaza Parking Lot. Both markets feature fresh local produce and crafts, live music, and special events (zucchini races, pumpkin carving contest, live demos, etc).
Petaluma has four farmers markets but we’re calling attention to the Petaluma Evening Market. Held in the Theater Square, the market features fresh produce, live music, and even pony rides for the kids. Come check it out on Thursdays from June 3rd to August 26th from 4:30-8:00 pm.
Come enjoy Friday night out at the Rohnert Park Farmers Market. Come support the community, enjoy live music, buy fresh fruits and veggies and fill up on delicious to-go food truck meals. It is held from June 5th to August 28th (excluding July 5th) from 4:00 – 7:00pm in the Rohnert Park Plaza.
Unfortunately as of April 2021, the board of directors of the Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market has decided to cancelled the 2021 season. Stay tuned for future updates or changes here.
Sonoma’s modified Tuesday Night Market will be launching on May 4th – it will no only include the freshes local produce but also packaged goods and artisan vendors. They Due to COVID-19 prepared food vendors will not be present this year and strict social-distancing measures will be in place. When? Tuesday Evenings, May – September from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Where? Sonoma Plaza “Horseshoe”.
The Town of Windsor put together a great market every Sunday. Find fresh produce, unique crafts and delicious food. This year they will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary, so come support and enjoy. And did we say easy parking? Every Sunday, April 11th to Mid-December from 10am to 1pm.
